Who Are We?
Home for Good is an emerging network of individuals and families desiring to engage in God’s work through adoption, foster and kinship care in Eastern Massachusetts. We exist to: Educate Encourage, Equip and Engage the church in caring for vulnerable children.
Educate: The local church about the need for Foster and Adoptive Families locally, nationally and internationally.
Equip: Support those who are impacted by foster care and adoption by providing relevant resources and information to address the unique needs of foster and adoptive families through all stages.
Encourage: Provide opportunities to encourage children, individuals and families with shared experiences through group activities, support groups, meals, childcare, mentoring, and more!
Engage: Individuals and Families to take action however they are able to in addressing the need for all children to be cared for in loving and safe homes.
Beginnings: The idea of the Home for Good Network began stirring in the hearts of grandparents who have adopted their grandchildren, parents of 2 adopted children from Guatemala, foster parents of teenagers and toddlers, and a social worker who worked with a few teenagers who longed for loving families but never got them. We began dreaming in little and big ways thinking about not only how to engage and support those within the Grace Chapel impacted by adoption and foster care but also exploring how to connect with other churches in the Greater Boston area also sensing God’s leading in this area.
Currently: The Home for Good Network is coordinated completely by volunteers and we hope that you will get involved. Whether you are single or married, have little ones, teens, are an empty-nester, or childless Home for Good welcomes your involvement as we seek out to care for vulnerable children, individuals and families impacted by foster care and adoption.
